At Ampner, we often talk about power. The kind of power that drives electricity through the grid, keeps networks balanced, and pushes the energy transition forward. But in an engineering company, power can also be measured in another way — in the human body, personal goals, and the determination that carries people forward.

Angelique Sirviö, who works in Ampner’s marketing, has brought this idea to life in a completely new context. She began powerlifting only about five months ago, yet has already competed at the Finnish National Powerlifting Championships, achieving a total of 380 kg in the W76 category.

“The competition was an incredible experience and gave me a lot of confidence. It’s motivating to see how quickly progress happens when you have a supportive environment and clear goals,” Angelique says.

Powerlifting is a sport built on patience, discipline, and mental strength — the very same qualities Ampner values in its own work. At Ampner, we believe that human strength and energy-system strength go hand in hand: both can grow when the right conditions are in place.

Angelique continues to train with ambition and a positive mindset. Her development is ongoing, and new goals are already in sight. Ampner is proud to support its team members not only in professional growth but also in the passions they pursue outside the office — because real energy always comes from people.
