The Kapuli 20 MW battery energy storage system is one of the significant projects in which Ampner has been involved to ensure compliance with grid requirements. As a Type C energy storage system, the project required extensive modelling and verification.
Both PSS®E modelling and simulations were used to confirm that the plant models met all defined limits and that the simulation results successfully passed the functional performance assessments.
As part of Ampner’s service portfolio, protection relay settings were also delivered, ensuring a safe and fully compliant connection to the medium-voltage network.
