Junior Power System Engineer (Summer Trainee)

About the position
We are looking for a Junior Power System Engineer summer trainee to join our expert team for the summer. This position offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in renewable energy projects and to deepen your expertise in power engineering under the guidance of experienced professionals.
The goal of the summer internship is to provide hands-on experience in real industry projects, and there may be an opportunity to continue working flexibly alongside studies after the summer.
Responsibilities
Your tasks may include:
• Site measurements, such as:
- Soil resistivity measurements
- Foundation grounding measurements
- Grid compliance verification measurements
• Depending on your interests and skills, you may also participate in:
- Design and documentation of power plant and battery energy storage projects
- Power system simulations and technical analysis
We expect from you
• Progress in your studies or nearing completion of an MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Fluent Finnish and English language skills
• Swedish language skills are considered an advantage
Considered an advantage
• Previous experience in renewable energy or engineering/design tasks
• Experience with DIgSILENT PowerFactory or similar simulation software
• Experience with CAD software (Cadmatic or similar database-based design tools)
• Programming or other technical coding skills
